The Crossing Indian Bistro, part of Foodlink Global Restaurants (FGR) has made its UK debut with an opening in the Leeds suburb of Chapel Allerton.
AVT Capital had partnered with FGR investing £1.2m into the project.
The 120 cover venue restaurant offers “iconic dishes and local favourites” from north India and beyond.
The drinks list includes cocktails, craft beer and premium spirits. AVT Capital said it planned to expand the India Bistro brand throughout the country . A second restaurant is planned for London later this year.
Founded in 2003 by Sanjay Vazirani, FGR started with small-scale events in Mumbai, gradually transforming into operating across luxury catering, banquets, restaurants and venue partnerships in 30 countries, and has grown to become India’s largest food and beverage company.
Its other restaurant brands include Glocal Junction and China Bistro, which made its UK debut in September.
Today, India Bistro operates 30 outlets across India and the UAE.
The company operates two further The Crossing India Bistro sites in France, in Paris and Nice.
